Currie Medical Specialties Selects a New Chief Financial Officer

Scott Bowman Named CFO for Currie Medical Specialties on June 1, 2011.  Currie Medical Specialties, a Wheelhouse managed company, recently announced it has hired longtime Nashville businessman, Scott Bowman to the Chief Financial Officer role. Bowman  is an experienced finance professional with proven history of success in serving in leadership roles in finance and account teams.  Prior to joining CMS, Bowman served as Controller and CAO of MedQuist Holdings, Inc, a global provider of medical transcription services and technology.  MedQuist acquired Spheris where he served as the CAO and VP of Finance and Controller.  He was responsible for all global financial functions of the newly formed entity including combining the finance/ accounting teams, converting systems for billing, payroll and general ledger systems and recapitalizing debt.

Prior to this, Bowman worked as an Audit Manager for Ernst and Young and Arthur Anderson.  Scott is a CPA and holds a Master of Accountancy and a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
